chiron777.proboards47.com/index.cgi?board=music&action=display&thread=1207306347If you were a stranger here on this place called Earth...(hmmm - )...what would be your impressions of this planet? You arrived here - now - from some distant star, or other dimension in time...and you 'just observed' what was around you - how would you assess all you saw? What would be your impressions of humanity, as it stands now - a relatively new species in the scheme of Universal time. What would be your impressions of this planet, in general? Would you deem humanity overall is worthy of assistance...of positive intervention...or would you leave us to our own demise? Would it be the "meek" who would bring about positive change...can the corruption that destroys so much be overcome, even though it has become so finely woven into the tapestry/structure of humanity...what would be the result of pulling out this thread?...Would all that we know collapse? Are we doomed...or is there hope? Would the need for power inevitably corrupt us again, if we could start over...the cycle - would it repeat itself... Step outside of your self and tell me what you "see".

The answer is really dependant on what experiences you have draw from to compare with Earth. I see a planet of vast beauty and potential being systematically destroyed by a parasite which could, if checked in time, halt the decaying planet's doomed future and make it into the paradise that it was once before. But this human parasite does not know the meaning of self-control, nor understand that each individual is experiencing is one of a cycle of lives which progress or regress according to their behaviour in their preceeding lives. Therefore what is life to be like for them on their return trip(s) if all there is left is an incipient Venus-like globe to call home? I should like a new species of human to evolve, one that can live in harmony with nature and not one that pillages and squanders natural recources for mere temporal self-gain. A species that recalls its 'angelic' heritage, one that realises the need for spirituality and embraces all that is good in humanity. I personally hope that I don't have to return to this existence in the light of the immense future problems that Earth will have, as I regret to say that I am a coward and am tired.

I would conduct an ongoing scientific study in group intelligence to see if this species could self propagate or not extinction being an entropic record. How much time would it take before a group minded self propagating civilization would emerge? Could or should that be accelerated? And how could it be done correctly and at what level?

I must say I have always found it fascinating that so many people on boards such as these, seekers, seem to be so dissatisfied with this existence, and so quick to blame "the rest of the world."
And yet, everything I have learned points towards me having not only chosen this existence before I was born, but also being a co-creator of my own destiny.
Saw a t-shirt today that said, "This is not the life I ordered." As I passed the guy, I said, "Actually, it is." He said, "Huh?" I said, "You'll get it later."

Good point...why should one complain when one most likely chose to incarnate here. Hah....The perogative is that one can shine if one chooses to....the freedom of it all.

Overall, I love my existence here (some days more than others )...with a passion. I love the Earth - I love the many animals upon it, for each has a purpose...I love nature and I LOVE my fellow man/woman. Each and every day I thank the Creator with my whole being for the many gifts and the many blessings. Having said that, however, I must say I believe that we are meant to question what is around us...we are meant to question injustice and to hopefully DO something about it. We too have a purpose...and as you have stated - I also believe we have chosen this existence prior to coming here. I do think it is important for us to step outside of ourselves at times and view what we are and in what direction our paths are heading...our own selves - and 'humanity' in general. If we truly love our existence - what better reason to want to bring about positive energy/change? This World/Realm has always had it's problems/imperfections etc...we are made strong by the lessons we learn -and hopefully...eventually - we "shine". But if we never question what is...how do we grow...that is part of being a "seeker" is it not? The question I posed is an exercise to enable us to view the World from the outside in...to examine those things that need a positive intervention. I am VERY blessed to live where I do...I am ever aware of that fact. When I speak to others who have lived in places that are war torn...or women who have lived in regimes where they are dehumanized and stripped of all rights - I know how blessed I am to be in this present existence. But we are the keepers of this planet...and the planet itself is hurting. I do not "blame the rest of the World" (I'm part of the World, so I must take part of the blame)...instead, I do feel it necessary for each of us to take responsibility and begin to work together for that which we love...for ourselves, for our children and fellow human, and for this intrinsically beautiful planet we call home right now. I am an idealist by nature - and for the most part I try to see the good in humanity and in my self. I do believe very strongly that we are moving in the right direction and that the World is growing together. That is a very positive thing. Being dissatisfied with things can be a good thing if it illicites change...if it prompts us (or kicks us in the butt) to do something about the problem(s) we see. Getting back to the original question - If I were looking in on this planet, yes -I would see injustice and pain and corruption and inhumanity ...but I would also see that which makes it all worthwhile - the beauty of true love - the strength of those who rise above the injustice - I would see the healers (both physical and spiritual) - I would see those who give of themselves to help the World - etc etc...and I would come to the conclusion that overall this planet, although turbulent, is filled with great promise and exquisite beauty...I would embrace such a place and hope to help it and those who dwell in it. So...now I step back into my own skin - into my little place in the great tapestry of existence - and I hopefully "see" a bit more clearly my own responsibilities to myself and that which I'm a part of - hopefully with a renewed perspective. We all play a part - we all make a difference in some way. How we do that is our choice. Oh yeah...Vaj - I love the thing with the t-shirt! He must have wondered about that for awhile...but you made him THINK. Hopefully he made the connection...or it may come to him in time... sometimes the smallest things make the biggest difference...

Dear Mary Everything you say is so true and wise and thoughtful. This indeed is a wonderful world, a most beautifully glorious planet, a pearl in this galaxy, another "sceptered Isle". My sorrow is that not more humans think as you do. Instead they prefer to squander thoughtlessly and live as there were no tomorrow, systematically destroying their habitat in an attempt to make a life for themselves and without much attention to futures of their offspring apart from the immediate materialistic wealth. If there is no planet left to live on what point is a fat bank balance? A "stranger" here, landing on this marvellous marble-like Eden, from a journey through deep space and through a time beyond thought or reason, if he was not received with hostility or scorn and derision, might be inspired and courageous enough to tackle that problem headlong. The primary problem is self control in all aspects of living. The man in the t-shirt would do well to ponder that statement too

Yes...these have been my thoughts exactly over the years. It seems, if we look at history and at the present day - any being courageous enough to question things and present an alternate view is most often met with scorn of some kind or the other. Yet in spite of this, the great souls who have graced our planet have made an impact over the years...and have brought about change in thought and ideals - they are remembered, and what they stood for is remembered...so it was not all for naught. Being "different" in some way is often threatening to many people...for there are those who cannot (or do not wish to)glimpse anything beyond their own limited reality - or perceived reality. They walk the way of the flock and dare not veer from this path lest they lose their sense of security...it is fear that holds many captive perhaps. This planet is really just a tiny speck in our vast Universe...and yet we are still learning to get along with others who share this small space. I think, in order for our species to survive - we must finally learn to work together...for we all have a common interest in doing so. Much is dependent upon this factor. I am one person who believes this...you are another...on this small forum there are others still...so it stands to reason that there are many in this World who share these similar views. Yet so many feel powerless to bring about change...what to do is the conundrum. Many feel isolated in their viewpoints. Perhaps we are moving toward a time of great change... perhaps we have no choice left. One small voice in the wilderness...the echo is heard ... and soon there are more voices... "To thine own self be true"...this may be the beginning of the answers...

It is. The Way of the Warrior begins with not deceiving yourself. To be true to yourself, you must first understand exactly who yourself is.

Interesting, very interesting... everyone has good points. There does not seem to be much to add, but I will try I have thought much like you have thought Elijah. What is the use in coming back, if it is all going to be a terrible mess? Futuristic nightmares of that existence can be horrible. But I don’t believe that will happen.
We are the universe and the universe is us, it is evolving, and so we must evolve with it. It is anticipating, and that great knowledge knows our strife. And knows that it must preserve us. The universe manifests itself through us. And this reality. We cannot remain to be the humans that we once where, and are at present. We are about to change… Consciously. Time is speeding up, and has been since the beginning. We are being drawn towards something, possibly ahead of us. I believe we are fragments of a whole, and that we are becoming a world soul. Which when thought about is better. Only an ego dislikes this idea, the lose of self, individuality. Becoming part of one soul enables us to be become truly empowered, rather than enslaved. We lose that which causes us pain. A new entity, in a sense we are becoming a God. And when that happens we will have no need of what you fear we will lose. There is no waste in nature. The planet will evolve to become something different. There is more ahead, much more than you have seen already. Greater or lesser, more fantastic than anything that you consider real. As has been said before our process is to know self. Fear simply put is lack of knowledge, and the product of a mind unable to solve pain or a problem. Have faith my friend, you are loved. Use this. Use this to open yourself to gnosis. The average lifespan of a star, is roughly 700 million years, life has been on this planet for roughly 3.7 billion years. And I believe it is older than that. Why would life be older than the average star? And here we are living under this wonderfully slow burning sun. Does that not seem kind of strange compared to the rest? We are not a parasite here. We belong here. If we are making a mess….well children tend to do that, but they do learn. And they grow up, and evolve to become someone we are proud of and love deeply, regardless of the problems they have caused. If I was stranger here, I would see this planet as a terrible beauty. Such a terrible, terrible beauty. I have written this mainly for myself, because I need to here it. But I would like to share it with you. Michael

Thanks for sharing Michael... Namaste Good to see you! I wonder how Monk is doing. Monk has been fairly busy, and has passed on his regards to everyone here. As has The Revealer, by the way. Hoping that we are digging deep and finding treasure.
