Fairy Tales in general are a canvas for symbolic art. The Wizard of Oz is a wonderful well known symbolic story. The story is so well ingrained in the culture and psyche that it became part of our language. And so when opportunity arises the framework can be used as a method of communicating language. The jingle of this cartoon popped into my head earlier. This episode One Big Headache has some interesting correlations.
If one views "Fish" as in context to Christianity the cartoon suddenly shifts in light.
Can anyone see other possible correlations?

This is Elijah
I can't really get into the fish-head + christianity correlation but as far as the youTube clip Oz goes, some body - any body is better than no body. I am out of sync and very much out of circulation, but anyway .....

Elijah! long time, nice to see you. Perhaps I am reaching here, lately I've been seeing such depth in art ... I find this subject interesting. Traditionally in many cultures and beliefs the fish has been a symbol of deity. It also represents swimming the stream of the subconscious where all things originate. In the alchemical view the "body" could be correlated as the firmament. The original author L. Frank Baum intended the story characters to represent alchemical principles thus universal truth for all to gain insight. Even the opening artwork in the clip suggests what I sense from the writers. I may post a few more to elaborate.... that is if it interests any. Archetypal virtues have root in myth. In the early days of Hollywood (the land of craft) there were higher standards in my opinion on who were qualified to be writers and those who excelled spiritually deserved to have the responsibility of content because a child's mind is shaped early. Revisiting these stories and cartoons is almost haunting. It's all about personal connections to be genuflected.
