So, you are saying that gnosis is coming to know that which you believe? That makes sense. I like that. Yes, and no. I'm saying that when we believe something, by definition that something is something we have not experienced for ourselves. Simplest example would be Deity. When I say, "I believe in God.", I am admitting that I have not experienced God, I can only "believe" that God exists. But if I have a "God experience", even if I cannot define or explain it, I have Gnosis of God, even if that Gnosis is microscopic. (microcosmic?) That, to me is greater, more valuable that simply a belief, which is empty and often misleading.

To paraphrase Masonic Ritual:
"Faith may be lost in sight; Hope ends in fruition; but "Gnosis" extends beyond the grave, through the boundless realms of eternity."

Actually, Gnosis may merely be accepting/recognizing what everyone knows, (instinctively?) but through "education", cultural pressures and lack of self confidence, we come to "believe" instead. I see....so reflecting on as above so below one can see the truth of the Deity within...like inborn knowledge..instinct. Hah!...we're dormant.. ;D
