Hey All
Just had a chance to watch this movie on dvd. If you haven't seen it yet I recommend it. The basic plot is about two guys who are given 6months - 1yr to live. One is rich one is middle class. They come up with a list of things that they want to do before they pass. The movie touched home and made me think of you all here. What would you do ? What would be your top ten things to do or see before you passed if you knew for certain you only had 6months to live. I thought it would be kinda cool to see what you all have to say.
Peace and Light E.M.

Peace and Light E.M. That is a tough one. My littlest boy is 10, so I think I would take a cue from the Michael Keaton movie, "My Life" and make as many memories with my family as I could. And never give up. On that note, if you have not seen or read, "The Last Lecture," it is also a must. I do know that I would have to have, at the top of my list, meeting each of you in person.

Yes, it would be nice to meet all of you! I would want to be in the wilderness...somewhere tranquil/peaceful...somewhere where I could reflect and enjoy the beauty of nature...of course with those I loved sharing moments with me. I would want to fill each morning to night just drinking in what it is to "be" a part of this world...and preparing my self to move on from here... Quiet contemplation/prayer in Nature...that would bring me great peace, I think. (With an occassional white water rafting trip thrown in for good measure, perhaps... ).

my list is embarassing.
- in depth tour of NASA, a sugar refinery, the vatican secret library, the Hermitage and the LHC in Berne, walk on a glacier, helecopter ride over Washington DC, learn to play the bagpipes, got to the Amazon Rainforests and Borneo to see the Birds of Paradise, sit in on a corroboree, a carrage ride through the Vienna Woods, window shopping on 5th Avenue New York, hang glide off the Grand Canyon, get married on St Helena, drift about Italy for a few months, see the Aurora Borelalis, Morocco, Egypt, swim in the Dead Sea and with dolphins somewhere else, Paris, attend a master class with Yo Yo Ma, meet HH The Dalai Lama, find that castle, sit on the Great Wall and eat ice cream, walk in the Hindu Kush, yodel in St Paul's Whispering Gallery .... for starters.

I agree with Morningstar. I wouldn't mind doing all those things.

..... Vienna in winter for the opera season, Ireland, a long lazy cruise, Yatacan, camping in the Sonora Desert, see the Timbuctou manuscripts in Timbuctou and while we're in that area visit the Dogon, goosestep through Red Square, sit on the steps of the Brandenberg Gates drinking beer and just watching, Greenwich Observatory, conduct the Berlin Philharmonic, ride a camel in Jerusalem again and while we're there see the diggings under the Western Wall, Meggido and Masada, Qumran, Jodrell Bank, a cruise down the Nile, Victoria Falls, Malta, and then there is this business of India....

Dude, you're gonna need a bigger bucket. I'd suggest starting yesterday...
