The state of affairs in Tibet does not augur well. I have had intimations that another world war may commence over that small kingdom unless there is passive resistence with thought messages and strength meditations.
Maybe it would be opportune for a massive boycott of the Beijing Olympic games?

I don't know much about Tibet, but have always wondered why the Chinese want it so bad. It's like the Israelis and Palestinians fighting over the barren desert land near Jerusalem when every body knows that the Jews who made it to the Promised Land live in Florida and work in New York.

To many people, Tibet represents all that is perfect, the beginning and the end and becasue of the simplicity and purity of the Kingdom, it is natural that a grubby, power-hungry and a stupid entiry would want to dominate it by control. A show of strength. Bullies like to pick on the silent and defenceless.
But I see that already a boycott of the Olympic Games has been mooted so maybe countries with a conscience will let the Chinese stew in their own corrupt juices.
The goodness of Tibet is what seemed to rile the Chinese, and from what I understand, apart from the inevitable desire for technology and advancement by the now-sullied youth of the country, had the land been left to its own devices, it would have never had the need to change. It would have retained the perfection of wisdom and simplicity by shunning the materialistic.
And of all the materialists, IMO the Chinese have fast become the absolute epitomy. Their need to possess, to destroy and to render squalid everything they touch knows no bounds. So much for the purity and godliness of their ancient beliefs.

After Nixon's peace talks the sights were set on China to covert the country to a corporate sweatshop giving the Communist deprived citizens a promise of a better future. Tibetans on the other hand are content and have no need for materialistic gratification which threatens Communist dogma. Corporatism rapes the people of their dignity in a way because it creates a class of slavery. Just like with America in it's history and in fact the world...when you have a model that is self sufficient and working there will be detractors striving for an end of that model halting duplication.
