A trillion miles of desert, I’ve crossed
Just to find myself so dusty and lost.
Can you see what illusions it can hold
In the endlessness of your own soul?
It’s a vague and evolutionary mold
That’s cast against what lies we’ve all been told.
In the hours that it takes you to flee
You can surely seek to be free.
Just dust your self off and move on my friend
It is truly all the same in the end.
Like your lovers, your friends and your foe,
There’s a line we cross and one that we must tow.
So cast your line into the waters where they feed
And learn to write what’s in your heart that they may read-
The synchronicity of everything’s divine –
It’s lost within this thing we liken to call time.
In the physical framework we play our parts
And try to convey what we feel within our hearts.
It seems impossible at times, and yet we try
For it is every soul’s dream to freely fly…
Fly on, my old friend, I ask you this…
What it is about this life that you will miss…
And the answer, to me, it seems so clear…
It’s the thing that we all tend to fear…
What you’ve gained you truly cannot lose
What you’ve lost is the truth that you will use…
What you see you will find again, my friend…
For it is truly all the same in the end.
And if you question where you are now in time
You’ll find an endless circle singing in rhyme…
Beyond the darkness there is light – yet before that –
They swore the Earth beneath us truly was flat.
I say that everything in time shall unfold
And all the stories that you seek shall be told.
The blind shall see and the deaf shall surely hear…
A time will come to put aside your earthly fear.
Just to find myself so dusty and lost.
Can you see what illusions it can hold
In the endlessness of your own soul?
It’s a vague and evolutionary mold
That’s cast against what lies we’ve all been told.
